the popular girls, you know the ones, they've got the jock boyfriend and they're pretty in pink at all times. this clique is all female and if there is any guys in it, it is only because they are a pretty gay guy who can boost their self esteem. they can be popular for any reason, but they are always drop dead gorgeous and rule the school exactly how they want it. if they don't like someone, their reputation is ruined in seconds, don't cross these girls at any cost.

wearing a letterman jacket at belanger high is like wearing a crown. it not only gives you status, but it gives you instant recognition. these guys are popular beyond belief and are only rivalled by the populars simply because they are prettier and a lot more bitchy if you don't like them. of course, the jocks bully any one below them that they don't like, but they do it a lot more obviously than the populars, more the type for punching people they don't like instead of spreading a rumour. it's pretty much a given that the majority of these guys are dating the popular, pretty girls.

they could possibly be more popular than the populars, but no one would dare say that. these are the rich kids, the ones that could afford to buy their way into the populars but would rather be aligned with money than popularity. there is a thin line between the preps and the populars (besides the fact that there are guys in this clique as well), but the main thing is the preps tend to be at least a little bit intelligent, instead of relying on their pretty faces, they use their money to get the best tutors and excel in school and hope to go to harvard and yale. these guys are going places.

you ever met someone so sweet that you thought perhaps they weren't just real? well, here at belanger, we have a whole clique for those people! the people who are always seen helping the nerds or laughing at the jokes of an entertainer. they aren't popular because they try to rule the school, they're simply sweet kids who have the attention of everyone because they're too nice. now, don't think these guys are all stupid and naive, they're just polite and friendly, not necessarily oblivious to the ways of high school students.

you know when the school has a production of guy and dolls or they have a talent show? there's all those awesome actors and melodic musicians, well, that's these guys. during the school year, they blend in a hide from the world, they don't even want people to see them anywhere. but when it comes to performing; dancing, singing, playing an instrument, acting and anything else you can do on a stage, this is the clique that's on top of the whole thing. hell, some of these kids are even into directing movies and stuff. this is a diverse lot, but they all stick together because no one else will stand up for them.

the clique that only exists for the entertainment of the populars and the jocks. wanna know the sad part about these guys? they don't even know they're wannabes. heart breaking. they actually have it in their minds that they're popular and people are totally in love with them and worship the floor they walk on, when in reality everything they're made to do is just for the entertainment of the rest of the school. maybe they will eventually figure out what's going on, but for now, no one has let them into the biggest joke of the school.
TROUBLEMAKERS - #B8860B
either starting fights with students or having shouting matches with teachers, you don't really want to fuck with these guys. they're a little bit on the crazy side if anything, but not in the subtle way, they're more of the guys who will throw a chair across the class because they can't get the question right. teachers sigh with relief when they're absent from class. other students grin as they get sent out once again to see the principal. no one wants to deal with these guys. ever. but you have to because they're here. deal with it. we suggest you run from them though, that seems to work.

these are the kids who are always strung out on something pretty trippy. whether they're stoned on weed, had way too much heroin or just don't care about school, you can be sure these guys will be carrying. some of them are just dealers who don't attend classes, but the majority of them are just always high and never in class. if you see two of these in class at the same time, a supplier has disappeared, that is for sure. they're pretty well behaved though, never ones to disrupt class, just falling asleep or sneaking out for a quick bump.

weird hair? check. band shirt? check. constant scowl? check. these kids hate their life and are pretty vocal about it, whether they're telling you through music, art or just moaning straight at you. whenever you think you're life is bad, think about these poor souls. of course, not all of them are technically emos, whether they're emos, goths or even scene kids, they're all weird and listen to music that isn't in the charts. so who cares about them? pretty much no one. but they do look after each other, maybe that's why their all together in one clique, huh? whatever. they don't bother people, so people don't bother them. they skip classes, go to concerts and stay relatively quiet when they're not moaning about their lives.

you know the ones, the kids who walk up and down the corridors like they own the place because they are some good looking people. but they don't care about money or popularity, well, they do, but not as much as the other people, they care about it in a different way. they want everyone to know their names so they can sleep with anyone who walks their way. they're pretty much loners within their cliques, hardly talking to each other because of ego clashes, but other than that, these guys are pretty popular, but only because they put out way too much.
NEUTRALS - #8B3E2F
they're no exactly nobodies, but they won't be invited to every single party that happens in denton. they're just there, like human tofu. some of them are pretty cool kids who you can hold conversations with about anything at all. others are just as boring as tofu. they don't crave popularity or attention from the world, they just attend school and want to make it out alive. most of the neutrals are just normal kids who have dreams like everyone else, they just don't shout about it. wait, who were we talking about?

now, this is careful waters we must tread. these guys are the nerds. nerds. remember that, call them dorks, they might flip out. now the nerds are the academic wizards of the school, if you have an issue with your chemistry homework, no problem. need some help with some maths homework? easy peasy. these guys are all about anything and everything academic and those glasses, they really need them, it's not a fashion statement. nerds are also the ones with no social life, they generally keep to their clique and play world of warcraft, watch star wars and never understand what a girl smells like. the last thing about the nerds; they hate the dorks.

you know that trendy looking kid who's wearing a batman tshirt and has the cute sonic the hedgehog backpack? that's a dork. not a nerd. the dorks are mildly fashionable and tend to know what's going on when it comes to their social lives. sure, they enjoy a bit of xbox here and there, but they also like going to parties and hanging out with humans and not just machines. the nerds see these guys as hipsters, but they just love comic books and gaming but have no smarts. they are not inhibited by intellect (mainly because most of them have none) like the nerds are and they know how to talk to a girl! they don't understand why the nerds hate them so much, maybe they'll get it one day, but for now, they'll keep quoting star wars at them and missing the scientific errors in star trek.
ARTISTS - #3D7F96
hands covered in charcoal and arms covered in paint, these are the kids that are always painting or doing something artistic. most of them are quiet, some of them are violent, but all of them have amazing art skills. people forget they exist and if it wasn't for the art department, most of them probably would have dropped out of school years ago. they stick together because the majority of them don't fit in with other people, they don't even want to be around other people, but sometimes hang out with losers because lets face it, if you want to be a artist, you're probably a loser, just in different skin.
HIPSTERS - #687E5A
you thought the dorks were hipsters, you were very, very wrong. these guys are hipsters. the find out about bands before they exist, they are on top of all the latest fashions before they happen and then of course, they love to sit in coffee shop and moan about the price of a soy latte yet still buy it because a normal latte is far too mainstream. everything is too mainstream for these guys, apart from retro clothing, lenseless glasses and ironic statements on vintage shirts. gotta love hipsters.

ha! the losers, man, they're hilarious. they're not supposed to be, but boy, it really is fun to pick on these guys. everyone picks on them, i even heard a nerd got a few insults down on a loser a couple of days ago. that just shows you how low down they are! people don't know their names, they only know their faces simply because they're the ones they want to beat. they're all known by something else, like there's a girl called vinga (what a stupid name) and everyone called her vaggy, you know, as in she's a vagina! oh, hilarious! but seriously, a day when a loser isn't tripped in the hall or thrown in a locker or pushed into the changing rooms, that will be a sad day in belanger history.

you know those folks who drop out of high school because they can't handle it? yeah, that's these guys. they've all got jobs now, well, some of them have, some of the others are just sitting around doing nothing because no one cares about them. they fools. they dropped out of school and now they are a sad, sorry footnote. or maybe they will be like steve jobs and that facebook guy or something.

this is the rest of the people who live in denton. of course there's so much here that we need more than high school students for this place to go around. from the street cleaner, to the barmaid who stopped iding the students all the way to the guy who always gives an extra scoop to girls with low tops. if you're not in high school and you don't work in the high school, you're here!
